SUMMARY

Development of Technical Briefs on Structural Design Issues:
Steel and Reinforced Concrete Special Moment Frames

The primary objective of this project is to produce two new techbrief documents, one addressing the design, specification, and construction of Special Steel Moment Frames and one addressing the design, specification, and construction of Special Reinforced Concrete Moment Frames.

In each techbrief, model building code requirements and leading practitioner-recognized techniques will be synthesized to produce clear and concise design and construction guidance for use by structural designers.
